Imagine yourself as an elementary school student, struggling with anxiety or depression in addition to all of the academic challenges and physical changes you face. You haven’t been taught the skills you need to successfully navigate your struggles. Who can you turn to? Me! Your school counselor. These tools will allow me to create a safe and calm space for my students. Students will learn to better express their feelings. They can take the time they need to calm down while working through difficult emotions. I can teach my students strategies they can apply in a number of situations. The strategies and skills they learn will help them overcome obstacles in the future.
