Technological resources are solely lacking for most bush Alaskan schools, and my classroom is no exception. Our class is currently utilizing a blended learning environment to teach through COVID-19. While the expectation exists to offer kids high quality remote instruction, the materials with which to do so are scarce. I wish for my rural students to receive the quality of distance education offered to kids in better resourced schools. With the use of a document camera, I can create more effective instructional videos as well as help kids work through lessons over Zoom to increase the quality of their remote learning.
