The materials I chose are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of my multilingual students. The materials will create a classroom that welcomes a multilingual atmosphere and is most likely to produce children who understand that to be equal to someone, doesn't mean they have to be the same as them. Secondly, the effective use of the chosen materials will empower multilingual instruction that fosters meaningful diplomacy, by growing children's appreciation of different cultures and meaning-making systems. There are many ways my multilingual students can use and benefit from the resources I've requested. For example, the multifunction POCKET CHARTS. They're the perfect tool to help manage center time! Tracking attendance, sneak a little literacy learning in and invite kids to find their name cards and place them in a chart as part of morning routine. Young children do best with a predictable routine. Having a visual picture schedule organized in the POCKET CHARTS in my classroom so that children can refer to it often throughout the day will help them transition go more smoothly. POCKET CHARTS help little learners feel safe and secure. Lastly, when such classroom and instruction are included in children's day through fun language games and activities, this end result of empathy is developed alongside the more directly curriculum-related matter of increasing their literacy. While considered a soft-skill, and empathic attitude will consistently provide access to richer, more diverse social networks which help secure children's success and social mobility later in life.
