One major challenge many students in low-income communities face is access to technology. To prepare our students for the 21st century, they need to be exposed to new and innovative programs that will teach them the skill they'll need to succeed. One program I believe serves as a vehicle for students to learn critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills is robotics. Programming is an essential element for robotics; these two laptops will help my students learn and write programs to control a robot. In the process, they will also learn the engineer design process, which is important in problem-solving.
