My students have been working hard as we transition into virtual learning. Both my students’ and I have learned how to use Zoom, IXL and various other platforms in a matter of weeks because they know education is of utmost importance. Technology has played an important role in their everyday learning but feel my current device is out-of-date. This project will fund an Apple iPad Pro to enhance my student's distance learning experience by creating lesson plans geared towards virtual learning. By having an Apple Ipad Pro, it will allow me to create lessons that are both engaging and fun for my students. I will be able to use apps that will allow me to make corrections on documents and upload so students can use it as an additional resource to lessons. Also, this Apple Ipad Pro will allow me to use touch-screen capabilities to show my 7th grade math students step-by-step solutions, real-time, to math problems. Lastly and most importantly, this device will allow me to communicate with my students as well as their parents because communication between students, parents and teachers is a very important component to the success of students in the classroom.
