I teach 4th and 5th grade. I love my students and want to give them everything they need while they are at school. One thing they need is small group learning opportunities. These daily literacy groups are especially beneficial for my English Language Learners. Our current large rectangular table makes it difficult for me to monitor students as they work and it is also difficult for them to see what I am modeling. A kidney table will allow me to easily assist students as we work in small literacy groups and will allow them to see and hear me more clearly. Our time together will be more effective and students will be more comfortable with a kidney table.
