Children come to Kindergarten looking for joy and play and learning in a big, colorful, friendly classroom! Unfortunately, my incoming kindergartners may not experience this as many others have. I want to make sure that when my students are doing their assignments at home, they have all the necessary materials that they would usually have in my classroom. Incoming students will most likely have a blended style of learning, where they will learn in class and also at home. I want to alleviate their concerns, that they may not have supplies necessary at home, like a glue stick or appropriate sized scissors for their little hands. many of these projects we do will be helping them develop their motor skills. Sending them home with a "toolkit" full of supplies they will need and use to become successful students would be beneficial and greatly appreciated by all!
