We got the items very close to the end of the school year, so I have not had the opportunity to do an entire class yet. Your donation has already started making an impact though. \r\n\r\nOn the last week of school our TK classes had Lunch at n the Lawn. This is where families get to join their students and picnic with them. As you can imagine though, there are always some students that are not able to have their families join them. Whether it is due to the parents working, foster, or transportation, you were able to turn their sadness into joy. For this Lunch on the Lawn, those students, with many emotions and tears, were able to have Lunch with the Librarian. I feel blessed that I just so happened to walk in as these emotions were playing out. I ran into my library and grabbed the \"Sun\" bin. I was able to show them the power of the sun, even on an overcast day. They all were able to find their nature materials and create their own Cyanotype art. \r\n\r\nSo thank you for helping provide so that these students went from feeling left out, to being the ones all the kids wanted to be. \r\n\r\nYou have made a wonderful impact, I look forward to doing more projects with my students in the future. One moment that really stood out was during our small group reading rotations. I introduced a phonics game from the membership that focused on blends and digraphs. One of my students, who usually hesitates to participate, shouted, \"I got it right again!\" with the biggest smile.
