Knowing that one of the major barriers for our students to access post-secondary studies is the lack of financial resources to pay for their education, we run an annual scholarship competition to encourage our seniors to apply to as many scholarships as possible. The competition prizes are dorm prizes- dorm bedding sets, TV, Mini Fridges, Microwaves, Laptops, Printers, Airpods and Google Home speakers awarded during our Signing Day. Our students have been very busy actively applying to scholarships for months and as of today they have submitted 897 scholarship applications! They are working hard to close that financial gap and we want to reward their efforts. Unfortunately, due to this school closure, our commitment to provide them with these prizes is compromised as our funding is currently inaccessible due to our district's spending freeze. Your support can provide our hard-working seniors the prizes we promised when we advertised the competition. Seniors have lost so much of the fun, celebratory aspect of senior year activities such as Seniors Awards Banquet, Signing Day, Prom and Graduation Ceremony, but with your help, we can still give them a little happiness!
