Most of my students don't have the resources for their own instruments. Through generous donations in the past, my school has a piano lab, so students get the opportunity to both learn and practice piano while in their daily classes. In our program, we have at least 4 levels of class piano, so students can continue to develop their skill over their high school careers. Once students have reached these upper classes, it is particularly imperative for them to have instruments to practice on at home. We have a very limited number of keyboards that we can loan out to students.
In light of OKC's required virtual learning for the first quarter, I now have motivated piano students who will not have the opportunity to have an instrument to play at all for the first 9 weeks. Your donations would help me buy at least a few more keyboards to help these students who have already invested at least a year into playing the piano and really want to continue. Even after we return to school physically, the keyboards would be a valuable practice resource and could continue to be loaned out to students for years to come.
