The materials I am asking for will give my students hands on learning at their own individual levels. I have a class of up to 32 kindergartners meaning that most of the time we do not have enough supplies to go around. Students end up having to share, meaning that they are not getting enough time with anything to really learn. Students also are not able to work at their own pace, meaning some students get left behind or other students are sitting around waiting because they already understand. I do not have enough supplies in my classroom for my higher students to be challenged and enriched while they wait. By donating to this project, you are ensuring every student has access to all the materials they need at their unique learning level. This set of books, enables every student can have a book at their level, creating better readers and more successful students all around. The students use the dice for things in math (counting, adding, subtracting), as well as playing games in reading, science and spelling. Ensuring every student has at least one dice means that when they finish early, students have something fun and educational to do. The word cards and alpha locks enable students to work on tasks at their own level. The cushions and sensory tubes will meet these students who have been through COVID traumas emotional needs. Thank you for taking the time to help my classroom even if it is a small donation, it makes a world of difference for these little kindergartners.
