Our meeting place is where the rug is needed to bring us together. We have deep rich conversations as a group about books we read and the discussions we have during all academic learning throughout the day. This is where they will be able to spread out and work together as partners and/or small groups. Sometimes they like to just stretch out and read! Our meeting group is the center of our learning for deep rich conversations and inquiry. This is why the rug is needed. Children should feel safe, warm, and secure while learning. The rug would give our room an at-home feeling. When you improve the environment in which children learn, they soar in their learning.
