We gather together to share stories, read books, and listen to each other's written stories. A carpet in our room gives a colorful gathering place to meet. Each student will have their own spot during our gathering times. Students often feel more comfortable in a situation if they know where their spot is. Students will also use the carpet as a place to read on their own. We could even do some science experiments as we gather together. This new carpet will give us a sense of community, togetherness, and security as we gather.
