In our diverse classroom, we have students performing academically and verbally at such different levels. The iPads would help us differentiate and target specific learning objectives for several students through an exciting media. For example, when we have a student coming into preschool or kindergarten not identifying or knowing the correlating sounds to the alphabet, repetition and exposure is critical. The iPads would allow us to give the students independence to work on mastery towards necessary literacy and language skills. Different programs, apps, and songs on individual iPads would help boost and promote language and literacy skills in some of our struggling learners, as well as ESL learners too. Repeated exposure and captivating visuals that the iPad allows would help create a solid foundation in critical early learning skills for some of our most struggling students. This technology can bring confidence and excitement into the classroom for many students lacking agency and independence in certain skills. The chair can be an enticing and relaxing area of the classroom for students to go off and do their individualized programs on the iPad.
