My students have mild to severe disabilities. Having the structure of the school day, the 1:1 and small group instruction and support taken away from them is devastating to their ability to learn and be successful. Having a whiteboard, where I can video tape myself walking through a lesson, or hold live instruction with my students could enhance digital learning for them. Not only will it help the students, but it will help the parents as well, having access to the instruction live from the teacher. Being in the classroom, much more happens than just learning. I want to be able to give my students back that sense of classroom family and comfort. I want to rebuild that Social Emotional sense of learning that has dwindled since being put virtual.
