The Scholastic News Magazines include motivational and engaging articles and activities. The articles are essential for they include history, science, and social studies topics in a manner that reaches students' interest. On top of it, I will cover the skills of reading; vocabulary, comprehension, word study, fluency, and much more. I will use the magazines for partner reading, small group intervention, whole group, and for lessons that require individual response. Furthermore, the WhisperPhone will help me manage guided reading. The auditory system allows the students to clearly listen to themselves reading allowing them to monitor their pronunciation while making learning to read more fun.
