Providing my classroom with new books would add excitement to our return to school. I work in a low-income area, and many of my second grade students do not have access to books and learning materials at home. This has made the pandemic extremely difficult for my district! It is important to have a classroom full of diverse books that students can relate to and enjoy. Upon returning to the classroom, students will have new expectations and guidelines to follow due to the pandemic. Therefore, providing our classroom with book bags for each student would allow my class to safely choose and store their selection of books for the week!
