Every day, students in m special education room grow and learn using materials that have been designed specifically for them. This includes libraries of specially made reading materials, and hands-on, engaging math centers. Storing these materials can take up valuable space in our small classroom. We need a way to clearly organize, display, and access our classroom materials. We can make the most of our academic time together when students know exactly where to go to get their classroom materials. A leveled library shelf will ensure that each child can quickly identify his/her own reading materials, while a math cart would mean having all our math center materials stored neatly in one place. Having quick access to our supplies means teachers and students spend less time moving around the room collecting things needed for every lesson. In addition, being able to see and locate their work means that students have an increased sense of belonging in my classroom!
