Often times, students are unable to purchase school supplies at the beginning of the school year. A class supply of rulers and highlighters will ensure that every student has access to the materials they will need to make the most of their time at school. All students are able to learn more effectively when they feel engaged in the classroom and part of a community. A classroom carpet large enough for all of my students to sit on will allow us to start building a community more effectively during morning meetings. Lastly, chart paper and dry erase pockets will allow me to operate with the environment in mind. Chart paper will allow me to make anchor charts that are perfect for my students and the content they need and they can be reused time and time again. Dry erase pockets allow worksheets to be used over and over again from day-to-day or year to year.
