I teach 5th grade Reading and Writing and have found that when doing both you need concentration. Over the past couple of years, I have allowed students to move around the room and find a spot where they can focus and complete independent work in a quiet space. I've incorporated some seating alternatives they love but they have become worn and tattered. I would like to add new seating alternatives that are portable and can be carried around the room easily by the students. This has had a great impact on work in the classroom, especially from those students who struggle to sit in a chair all day. Giving students a chance to stretch out or sit in a quiet corner away from others while they work is an important element of our classroom success. I am requesting for FlexSpace floor seats and stools.
