Having food in the house will alleviate for a short time, one of the concerns that my students currently have. They are supporting their families at home, taking care of siblings, and trying to learn. I sincerely hope that having food on the table, will release one stress item. My students don't have the means to travel to school and pick up what they can to feed themselves or loved ones. They don't have access to free metro cards (trains are for essential workers), they are distanced from school, our teachers (myself included) have volunteered to deliver food to as many of them as we can. Please, please help me feed our kids. We are doing the best that we can, but we need your help. More than ever before, we need your assistance. If we can help alleviate one of their concerns, perhaps they will have the opportunity to focus on learning and earning their diploma.
