Your donations extend way beyond simple nourishment. The students have eagerly been helping us unpack and gather the boxes, their excitement is palpable. The simple observations of their smiles looking at all the snacks captures how these resources are already supporting their emotional growth. \r\n\r\nAll your donations have reflected a generosity that reinforces our school's justice-oriented mission. Students have been coming by the room to get snacks and talk about their day, their goals, their emotional concerns. Again, the impact goes far beyond food, it has become a tangible way our students experience the principles of mutual aid and community support that we discuss in our social work office. For many students who face food insecurity, knowing these snacks will be consistently available has also noticeably improved their focus and participation throughout the day. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we know that your generosity will inspire them to think in ways that prioritize community and sharing with one another. Oftentimes, gestures like this plant a seed of hope that there are people who do care and who are looking out for their well-being; this cognitive shift can have lasting positive impacts on their emotional growth for years to come. Our goal is to help our students think about the ways (no matter how small) that they can give back to their peers and communities. Your donations perfectly embody our school's main area of focus, which is to empower students to be their own agent of positive transformation. \r\n\r\nYour support has nourished not just their bodies, but their sense of agency and community responsibility.","fullyFundedDate":1746717131912,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-for-focus/9108872/","projectTitle":"Fuel for Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9817916"},{"teacherId":4897894,"projectId":8729755,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the wonderful welcoming snacks and things that you donated they were super appreciative. In my school we have advisory everyday and having something to welcome students is always wonderful. My classroom is also a place where students can come early and sit, a place to think and have a conversation. Students often come with their friends and eat during lunch. Students can also just pop in and get a snack or just a checking on a day that didn't start off right. Having this nice little tokens when they come really makes them feel welcomed.","fullyFundedDate":1733288215022,"projectUrl":"project/welcoming-environment-to-interact-with-o/8729755/","projectTitle":"Welcoming Environment to Interact With Other Peers.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4897894_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1540121451186","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4897894"},{"teacherId":3245035,"projectId":8768579,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your donation. My school for the first time has a course called cybersecurity. We are currently working on our final project, creating an escape room. The class is split into four teams, each making their own theme and designing the puzzles. Your donations allowed me to purchase supplies that the students are using to create their own escape room. One of the texts, \"Do it yourself, Escape Room Book\", is seminal to our final project. Five copies of this book were part of the supplies donated by you! \r\n\r\nStudents get a chance to showcase their own learning from this semester, about ciphers and other puzzles (like Wordle, or Mastermind), into their final project. Some of these supplies are one time use (invisible ink, Do not enter tape), and others (wood cipher, lock box) will be used by future classes. We are all so excited for our final presentations in January. Other students in the school will be the authentic audiences for each team's Escape Room. Even though this is a Computer Science class, we discussed history, building a story/theme (English language arts), and creative thinking.
