My second grade students have had to preserve through the challenges that Covid-19 has brought. We were able to have an amazing 14 weeks in-person, but had to move to remote learning to keep us safe. With our school serving mostly low-income families, I had to personally provide all of the materials for at-home use. This week we are able to finally get back into the classroom and it has been amazing. Unfortunately, most of my students did not bring back their supplies and now we are needing new ones for the rest of the year. With your support, my students will have the opportunity to explore and discover new strengths and skills through hands-on experiences. I also believe it is super important for the materials in my classroom to reflect the individuals within it. By providing my students with multicultural supplies it allows them the creativity that they deserve. I plan to use the spinner board and picasso tiles to help make our day-to-day more fun and engaging. Your donations will help make my students WANT to be in school and this will help them continue their tremendous growth they had before we left.
