I am asking for basic materials my students need in order to work during these trying times. Many of my students are in need of basic materials such as pencils and notebooks since a lot of their belongings were left behind in the classroom when they left on a Wednesday afternoon for a 4 day weekend, not knowing they wouldn't be back on Monday. My special needs students are hands on learners, and need these materials in order to enhance their learning. I want all of my students to be prepared with the basic materials they need when we meet over the phone or through video conferencing. Currently, I am able to share my screen with them, and they follow along, but don't have the materials needed to practice hands on or a designated place where to write down their thoughts and ideas. For those that don't have the technology to join me have to depend on printed packets that are sent home every few weeks.
