Half of my class does not have access to any device at home so that I can keep in face-to-face contact with them or give them the support they need to be successful with continued distance learning. Right now, these students are slogging through paper packets with little to no support other than me calling on the phone to try my best to answer their questions on work they cannot show me. Imagine the doors that will open for these students when they are given access to technology! I'm not talking about state of the art/ top of the line computers- just simple tablets so that they can join our Zoom meetings, get books read to them, access programs that enhance their learning with colorful engaging content, rather than solely relying on black and white print to get the job done. This is not a hand out, but a hand up. Thank you so much on behalf of myself and my amazing class for your support. One day, these kids are going to change the world! Just help them light that spark.
