In class, we do "Listening to Reading" as one of our foundational literacy activities. I read aloud to students as they silently read along in their books, modeling not only fluent reading, but all of our reading skills and strategies. During this time of learning at home I have made many Listening to Reading videos from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone; most of my students, however, do not have a copy of the book. Getting books to each student will allow my them to more effectively learn while at home.
