This book set will be used in a virtual reading circle with my students. Students will read to each other and I will read to them as well. We will discuss along the way critical reading components like setting, characters, and plot. Short writing summaries for each chapter will be written and shared during our writing circles. At the end of the book there will be a project assigned relating to the book to show the students understanding. The projects that I plan from the books are: A diorama of the setting of the books, a poster advertising the book, a newsletter book review, and a letter to the author.
