My students can not sustain distance learning sitting in front of a computer. They lack the ability and the attention span. They are used to hands on activities presented in a variety of ways. I am most concerned about watching them regress and lose everything they have worked so hard to learn. Since they do not have printers or manipulative say home, I will have work that they can write on, read, and manipulate while we do interactive lessons through the computer. I will do FaceTime lessons with the students while the materials are already in front of them. My biggest hurdle is that my students can not access and use technology the way a typical student can. They need hands on, interactive lessons.
