These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they come to school with lots of energy and need a way to have movement without disrupting their peers. The wobble chairs, saucers, bean bag and lap table will help my students stay engaged in the lessons that I am teaching, but also give them movement that is necessary to help them learn new materials. Flexible seating not only allows students to have free choice in their seating, but it also promotes collaborative learning and communication skills when they work in groups. This is an important skill set that will carry over into adulthood and be useful in their workforce. I want to ensure that I am creating a positive climate in my classroom that instills a feeling of family and community. I think that flexible seating will support this for my students.
