This easel will have many purposes in my classroom. This easel will be a tremendous help for language, literacy, and writing practice. They will able to practice writing words and sentences, spelling, improve reading skills, and improve handwriting. This easel will help them master new language, reading, and writing skills. Everyday we use a Deaf-friendly language curriculum. I will write a sentence on the board, mark up the sentences for grammar, and we will discuss how to sign the sentence using American Sign Language. This allows me to discuss and show two languages at the same time. This particular easel has lines allowing the students to practice proper penmanship with correct letter size and spacing. I will be able to use this in small groups or working one-on-one with a student by writing spelling words, vocabulary, and anything else to support their learning. The many uses of this easel will help me provide an interactive, supportive learning environment!
