Social and emotional learning can improve positive attitudes towards self and others, while also increasing academic performance. It is impossible to educate the mind of a child without also educating the heart. As my students learn Math, Reading, Social Studies, and Science, they must also learn how to be a good friend, to be kind to everyone that they meet, accept those who are different, and persevere through difficult times. What better way to teach these life lessons to the little ones than through children's literature??!! Your donation will help me to create a collection of books that I will use in my classroom as read alouds for Character Education lessons. These books will also be made available for my students to read in our classroom library. Thanks in advance for your support of this project!
