These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. It would be even more exciting if we can add more books to give them variety! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. My students love it when I check out books from the public library. The excitement and joy they display when they see the wide range of titles they can choose from brings warmth to my heart. It would be a blessing to expand our library of books they love.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and literacy development. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
The inference cards, sentence starters and magnetic letters will be an extension to the variety of books. These activities will help build reading comprehension, critical thinking, spelling, reading skills, in addition to expanding their book knowledge.
