Flexible seating allows my students to maximize their potential. They are able to make the choice that works best for them to work effectively. During independent work times my children are able to pick a spot in the classroom where they feel most comfortable and motivated. Right now in my classroom I have pillows, a rug, and their desks to sit at and complete their work. I have noticed a big difference in focus and attention while working on the floor rather than at their desks. It is essential that children are moving their bodies frequently throughout the day to increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. This will keep them more alert and focused. The products I have chosen to put on my wishlist will give my children the opportunity to choose the right seat for them to learn. Some of my products are a variety in height for those who prefer to work lower to the ground, as well as those who prefer everything at eye level. With these products not only will my children feel comfortable, but they will feel more confident, they will learn better, and they will stay motivated.
