My students need to read about what we are studying as opposed to just hearing it. Since we have no textbooks, Sciencesaurus books would be wonderful since this book covers all the curriculum for 7th grade science. Each topic from cells to human body systems to waves is included in this encyclopedia-like book and is written so 12 and 13 year old students can understand it. This book would help students understand concepts and help them grow academically. Since so many of my students are economically challenged, it would help even out the any inequalities that exist due to their socioeconomic situation.
