Spring is the magic time of kindergarten when many students begin to put what they have learned throughout the year together and begin to read. With libraries and schools closed, students are not able to get new reading materials to practice their new skills. With this project, I would be able to give each student two new books that would help them along the path of life long reading. Elephant and Piggie books are exciting, relatable, and fun to read for beginning readers. They were a favorite series in our classroom and I know that my students would love to have their own copies to keep.
