Art is a great creative outlet for children and I want all students to have the opportunity to engage in the activities we are working on. Due to the closing of school we do not have access to share our communal art materials in the classroom. Therefore, I would like to create art kits for students with drawing paper, crayons, markers, and watercolors so they opportunity to participate! Art making lets students express themselves when they may not have the words to do so, which especially important during the pandemic. Creating and using our imagination is a great way to distress and gain a sense of normalcy. With art we are able to soothe, heal, and have fun!
