Almost all of my students share their borrowed school devices with a sibling, a cousin, or another family member for their online learning. To support my students I want to give them the opportunity to have their own device to continue their learning. One of my second graders shares his school chromebook with his younger cousin. His teacher meets with her class at the same time as my class does and as a result he cannot always make our meetings. He has expressed that he misses his friends and has a hard time connecting because he knows his cousin needs more instruction than he does. I miss my kids and they should all be given the opportunity to connect with their teachers and classmates.
