Special technology allows increasing the independence of Special Education students freeing them from the constant need for direct teacher involvement. As a result, a student can choose the speed of learning that is convenient for them which leads to more personalized learning. Implementation of technologies in special education allows simplifying the communication and improve the academic skills of students with disabilities. With these chromebooks my students will have access to their classroom accommodations at all times without the relying on the Teacher. They will learn how to work independently and how to navigate programs necessary for their success. This technology will also allow my students to have a designated computer they do not have to share with others while in my classroom.
