In the school I work in, we are lucky enough to have laptops for every student in the classroom. Every child is assigned a laptop and we are expected to use them daily. Using technology in the classroom everyday has increased student engagement and has personalized their learning. We are encouraged to incorporate technology into our lessons on a daily basis to prepare our students to be successful 21st century learners.
Since many of the lessons and assignments online include sound, it is hard for the students to stay focused with everyone's computer volume on loud. One of the programs the students use on the computer assigns them lessons based on the child's specific skills and level. If the student is completing a lesson on phonics it is important that they use their computer volume during the lesson and practice. These headphones will allow students to focus on these assigned differentiated lessons without being distracted by all of the background noise in the classroom.
