Due to COVID-19, our state will complete the school year with online learning. As a result, students will not have access to art supplies that are typically used in an art room. Most students have paper and pencils they can use to draw at home, so I am planning to teach easy to follow drawing lessons using the dry erase board and tablet. The recorded drawing demonstrations will also bring reassurance and familiarity to my art students as they hear my voice and watch my hands as I lead them in creating works of art. In this uncertain time, they can find comfort in their creativity. While students are not getting a traditional art education they can still use their drawing skills to help them cope with the pandemic. Moving forward, after the pandemic, I plan to use recorded media in the classroom, for projects like stop motion animation!
