The morning tubs will be used daily by kindergarten students in their table groups. In the past students would complete pencil and paper morning work. Some students would finish quickly and others would still be trying to complete the work when it was time to move on to the next activity. By using these supplies all students will complete the activities in the same amount of time. No longer will students have to feel rushed to complete their morning work. Hands-on activities are important, especially in the classroom. It allows students to experiment with trial and error, making and learning from their mistakes, using their imagination, and learning to get along with others. The benefits are endless when using hands-on activities. The materials in the tubs will be rotated every day to each table, so every student has an opportunity to use the materials. The materials in the tubs will also be rotated, so students have something new to use. The morning tubs will create a fun and exciting way to start our day.
