My volleyball program was virtually run into the ground! This group of hardworking students need some TLC. I am the seventh coach this team has had in seven years. I am trying to help build a lasting foundation for this program along with building up the confidence and self-esteem these ladies desperately need to compete in the toughest districts in the county. The majority of the programs we face are not socioeconomically challenged and have all the gear they need, supportive parents and along with lengthy club volleyball resumes. I'm requesting a Tandem Volleyball Target Challenger, Nike Streak Volleyball Knee Pads, and Tachikara Official Indoor Volleyballs. My players need to have their knees protected so they dive for the ball and stay in the game. The passing trainer is an integral piece of equipment as our team has not been able to build large numbers and we need to immensely improve our passing rate. This training gear will be used at every practice and game and will help to give us a fighting chance in a very disproportionate district. The girls have worked tirelessly to try build this program but it has not solidified. They have school pride and want to be able to compete for our team. They never give up. I want to show them that hard work pays off and they can accomplish their goals even if they are at a disadvantage.
