Many of my students have test anxiety and would love to just focus on doing their best. Theodore Roosevelt said, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” I often see many of my students looking around the room to see who has finished, focused on what someone else is doing, or those who have lost all interest. I would love to help them get "halfway there". My goal is to help them stay focused while testing, during independent reading, and while on computer. The partitions and headphones are just what my students need to help them succeed. This will allow them not to be easily distracted by the small things that are going on around them. The magazines will help keep them engaged in interesting but relevant information. Their eyes light up when they see the bright colors and truly enjoy reading about actual news they can relate to.
