Let's get real...education is never really funded the way it needs to be, and now that we are in a pandemic, funding is at an all-time low! Many things have been cut from the budget this year and I can't help but feel like my students are getting the short end of the stick. All of these materials will help my students to have a productive year full of excitement and great learning opportunities! Storyworks and Superscience are fantastic online magazines by Scholastic. They allow me the ability to provide my students with complex text that they are excited about and willing to read, discuss, and write about. (The plays are their favorite!) The standing desk converter and whiteboard will allow me to bring live teaching into the homes of my students with ease, and will be a welcomed change from the 8"x10" whiteboard and laptop propped on a box! Like I said, I want my students and their families to be excited and stress-free about the new remote year. I want them to have a smooth transition into this school year and not miss out on anything! They definitely deserve it.
