My goal is to strive for quality education for all my students no matter what their socioeconomic background is. Thus, the book like Horrible Harry, Nate the Great and National Geographics I've selected are the books my students are eager to read. Having these books in my class will allow my students to have a choice and interest. After all, the student should not be forced to read, they should want to read from within.
Having a choice enforce love for reading and great reading leads to great writing. The Writing Notebook and Paper Mate Flair pens I selected are for my students to be able to write on. Most of my parents are not able to provide notebooks and other supplies. According to Teachers College, when students use pens they are able to write more and spend more time writing their thoughts rather than focusing on erasing the mistake. When my students make mistakes they know mistakes are my favorite. Through mistakes, the student learns and challenge their creativity. Which takes us to craft and creating a vibrant colorful class. Also, I like to pre sharpen my student's pencils ready to use. Thus, the X-Acto pencil sharpener will be used tremendously. In addition, the borders and letters will be used to showcase their assignments/projects on the bulletin board. This project will change the atmosphere of our classroom as well as increase love for reading.
