My Debate class students found the magazine helpful when they where dividing an issue into Resolution, Confirmation, and Negation (Refutation). My Speech class students used the magazine for broadcast journalism speehes. The graphics, subtitles, and journalistic organization of the magazine allowed them to develop patterns for their own speeches. My English 10 classes used the magazine for entry and exit ticket activities. The variety of the magazine appealed to them: large groups of students could find several articles of interest because of the magazine format. This engagement made comprehension easier.
