This project will add technology resources to our classroom. The resources include a MacBook laptop and iPads that are perfect for their tiny hands. The technology requested will support students in and outside of the classroom. During the pandemic, both teachers and students had to quickly adjust to the current technology demands of education. We are working hard to ensure that they are not left behind.
During small-group intervention, Tier 3 students are incorporating blended learning into their day. This looks like three 15 min rotations. The teacher will see one group of students, the partner teacher meets with another group, and the remaining group of students will be on technology. The technology group will utilize the Macbook or laptops to access iReady, Lexia, or Do the Math. The stylus and MacBook combo will support students that are struggling with current Occupational Therapy goals.
Currently, we are adding opportunities for students to use virtual manipulatives to solve math problems and find success in math fact fluency. Each opportunity with technology allows students to be able to navigate between traditional paper and pen assignments and online assessments.
