As a new teacher, I am excited to set my classroom up as a safe space for my students to explore and to learn. This project will support students' creativity while giving them the opportunity to work together and communicate with each other. During this play they will be building not only their academic and social English vocabulary it will also help support their social-emotional growth. Scholars need opportunities to stretch themselves in an engaging way. Lego and building play is the ideal opportunity. It not only acts as an incentive for other areas of study but is hugely beneficial in itself.
