I have uncomfortable armchair desks in my math classroom. The desks barely allow for a notebook and calculator. Boo! Can you imagine trying to knit (or crochet) from such a desk?!! This is why I am asking for help to get foldable rocking chairs in my classroom; students have to sit sideways to allow for room to move the knitting needles and trying to keep a ball of yarn from escaping becomes even more of a challenge. Such awkward seating- yet students FLOCK to my room to knit. Knitting is a fabulous craft to learn AND it helps me keep kids off of their cell phones! These foldable rocking chairs would provide a 'proper posture friendly' and comfortable place to sit while knitting. And... who would disagree that rocking and knitting just belong together?!!
