A student who loves fixing things was excited to figure out how to install the wall rack, and where in our crowded classroom it could hang. I brought him an electric drill and he measured and carefully installed the rack on the back of a door. He is not a student who is used to succeeding in school, and he was really proud of doing something to help the class. \r\nAs soon as the mops were put together, kids started cleaning the floor. They love to spray the floor with water and then run the mop over it - it is satisfying to them to see the dust and dirt disappear. I no longer have to beg students to wipe up spills around the pottery wheels, either. One student told me, while she enthusiastically cleaned up splashes of dirty water, that \"this is so much better than that big mop! (the janitor's string mop)\" I have the extra mop pads in a tote bag hanging from one of the hooks on the rack, so that when they are dirty, clean ones are easily available. Changing the pads and refilling the water bottles are now choices on the list of weekly student jobs. \r\nIn short, these mops, the extra pads, and the rack are really making a difference in students's ownership of keeping our ceramics studio clean and safe. I am so glad that you helped us with this project.
